About the Journal

Revista Latinoamericana de Educación Inclusiva is an academic publication peer-reviewed and edited by Universidad Central de Chile and Red Iberoamericana de Investigación sobre Cambio y Eficacia Escolar (RINACE).

It publishes research articles and essays related to inclusion and equity in education. Thus, it focuses on works that address topics such as:

  • Tensions arising from inclusion-exclusion in education both in terms of legislation, policies, educational concepts, attitudes and practices.
  • Discussions about the paradigm of inclusion, its principles, values, theoretical foundations and its relationship with the quality and equity of education.
  • Factors that favor and hinder the development of inclusive education, from a systemic and multidimensional transformative perspective. 
  • Approaches, programs and results linked to the education of students vulnerable to discrimination and exclusion due to their socioeconomic status, ethnicity, origin, nationality, disability, gender, sexual choice.
  • Proposals and experiences of curricular innovation to respond to diversity in inclusive contexts: curricular adaptations; teaching-learning methodologies and strategies; evaluation; educational resources.
  • Education and socio-emotional development for coexistence based on recognition and respect for diversity in its multiple expressions and the construction of inclusive educational communities.
  • Systematic reviews related to inclusive education and attention to diversity in its broadest sense.  

The Latin American Journal of Inclusive Education is indexed in Scielo-Chile, Google Scholar, DOAJ, Latindex, Dialnet, OEI, Genamics, REBIUM, Jisc-Library Hub Discover, WorldCat, LatinREV and Latinoamericana, among others.
